Hello, I am chinatsu.
Since 2020, I’m teaching Japanese in Hong Kong for various students. I can teach from beginner to advanced.
I like anime so much. But more than that I like Japanese! I want to show my students about how interesting Japanese is through my class.

Hello everybody, my name is Rika.
Since my daughter is a resident, Hong Kong has been close to my heart, and I have always loved its vibrancy. It's a dream come true that I can share the beauty of the Japanese language with you.
After 12 years of studying for a Master’s Degree in art in the UK, I had a wonderful experience teaching English to children at a kindergarten and primary school in Osaka, as well as teaching Japanese to adults from other Asian countries such as Indonesia, Myanmar and Vietnam, all of whom had very different backgrounds, religions and cultures. Still, we all came together through learning Japanese.
As a teacher, I’m not only hoping to help you communicate in Japanese, but at the same time to inspire you to learn about Japanese culture, art and food as an all-round experience.

12年間の在英期間中、Artで修士課程を修了しました。帰国後は、大阪・兵庫エリアで、子どもたちに英語を、日本語講師として、ベトナム、インドネシア、ミャンマーなど…文化や宗教、様々なバックグラウンドを持つ生徒さんに日本語を教えてきました。「日本語って面白い！」と感じてもらえる楽しい授業を心がけています。娘が香港在住で、訪れる度に違う顔を見せてくれる香港は、私にとって特別な街です。ここで日本語を教える機会を得て、今、ワクワクしています。食べ物や音楽、アート、文化について話しましょう！感動したこと、うれしい気持ち…一緒に分かち合いたい。みなさんにお会いできることを楽しみにしています。

Hello! My name is Iwai.
I have been teaching Japanese in Hong Kong for 8 years. When I was a university student, I was fascinated by the intersection of Chinand Western cultures in Hong Kong, so I started living in Hong Kong.
For Japanese learning beginner, I can teach Japanese using Cantonese. I can also teach you the correct pronunciation of common language (Japanese standard intonation) from the beginning.
I am excited to share the profound and beautiful Japanese language with you. Let's have a wonderful time exploring Japanese culture in my class.
